Al crecer en Buenos Aires, mis gustos musicales eran bastante limitados. Me gustaba la música en inglés, el rock argentino y un par de artistas brasileños. Después de mudarme a Estados Unidos, me hice amigo de gente de todo el mundo latino: de Ecuador, El Salvador, México y Puerto Rico. Mis gustos musicales, gastronómicos y de vestimenta cambiaron por completo, hasta el punto de que cuando vuelvo a casa, a Buenos Aires, la gente de mi barrio me pregunta de dónde soy.

Al principio esto me causó mucho dolor. Sentía que no pertenecía a ningún lugar en particular, que estaba en un limbo extraño. Pero todos los inmigrantes con los que he hablado que llevan muchos años viviendo en un país nuevo te dirán lo mismo: ahora no soy ni de aquí ni de allí; soy de todas partes.

Y así es el programa de hoy. Mientras me devanaba los sesos tratando de elegir música, Andrés Andinach, el frontman de CLDSCP (una nueva banda argentina que me entusiasma) me envió su nueva canción «Sintonía Americana». Es un cover – el original es interpretado por uno de mis grupos argentinos favoritos, los ya desaparecidos Los Abuelos De La Nada. Aunque no son muy conocidos fuera de Argentina, Los Abuelos dieron al mundo al célebre cantante de rock Andrés Calamaro y la canción «Mil Horas», que ha sido versionada decenas de veces en salsa, cumbia, rock e incluso reggaeton.

Mil horas es una canción de la banda argentina Los Abuelos de la Nada, incluida en el segundo álbum Vasos y besos, publicado en 1983.[1] Compuesta por el tecladista y cantante Andrés Calamaro, la canción se convirtió en uno de los mayores éxitos de la banda y fue una de las canciones más conocidas del Rock en español de los años 80. Ocupa el 5º puesto en la lista de las 100 mejores canciones de los 80 en español según VH1 Latinoamérica, y el 14º puesto en la lista de los 100 éxitos del rock argentino de Rolling Stone.

Una de las interpretaciones es sobre el uso de drogas, y no cantarle a tu amada, o una composición sobre los avatares de la vida, también se interpreta como un autoevidente contra la Guerra de las Malvinas.
